mail2SMS from emiera is a software solution designed to enable any email users to send text messages (SMS) to mobile phones, from within their email client.
To send an SMS, users create a new email and enter the required destination mobile phone number as the first part of the 'To' address, followed by '@domainname', where 'domainname' is the user's company's default domain name. For example:

The email Subject line is optional, but will be used if supplied and placed at the top of the resultant SMS message body.
Any text entered into the body of the email message
will be placed below the Subject line within the delivered SMS.
By utilising an Internet-based SMS service, the cost of each message can be considerably lower than using a mobile carrier, i.e. 'texting' from a mobile phone. Plus, as mail2SMS enables you to write and send messages to one (or many) mobiles using your email client, it is a far more efficient method to use. Simply type the in the body of an email and send to selected mobiles as described opposite.
Valid mobile phone numbers for Internet SMS delivery must start with an international country code (e.g. +44 for calls to UK mobile phones). As many users may neglect to add a country code, you can configure mail2SMS to change numbers that begin with selected digit(s) to other selected digit(s). For example, the mail2SMS default settings will swap the '0' of numbers beginning with '0' for '+44'.
