Take control of your voicemail system

Administration of a voicemail system can be both complex and time consuming. Also, administrators have to master a complicated set of commands and instructions to perform even simple operations.

Mailbox Administration Manager (mailboxadmin) is designed to allow easy modification of Mailboxes and System Distribution Lists on an Octel Message Server. Mailboxes and System Distribution Lists can be created, edited and deleted. mailboxadmin stores all the changes that are made until they are ready to be submitted. This means that operations that may have taken several terminal sessions over a week can be done in a single session with mailboxadmin.

Main Features:
Easy to use Windows Graphical User Interface - no more terminal sessions
Drag and drop functions used throughout
Create and edit System Distribution Lists
Add, edit and delete mailboxes

Schedule changes to be made in the future via intuitive calendar interface

Configure off site pager details

Can be installed in client/server mode, so sessions can be performed remotely via the LAN

Benefits:

Save time and money
Reduce voicemail training requirements
Increase efficiency of the voicemail platform
Reduce operational overheads

Reduce operational errors

mailbox detail settings

Individual mailbox settings are contained in a single tab, where you can view and edit the name, Class of Service and Offsite/Pager number. Importantly, you can also reset the mailbox security code and convert the mailbox to a Distribution list at the click of a button. You can even see all Distribution Lists that the mailbox is a member of:

distribution list settings

All System Distribution Lists can be viewed and edited in a single tab. As can be seen below, you can select a Distribution List in the left-hand panel, and all members of the selected list are displayed in the right-hand panel. To add a new member, simply click and drag any mailbox into the right-hand panel. You can even "nest" other existing Distribution Lists within the selected Distribution List, again by using a simple "drag and drop" operation.

At the bottom of the tab are quick Add and Delete controls, where you can quickly add a range of mailboxes to the selected Distribution List:
